Loni was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1994, and shortly after relocated to the midwest to be closer to family. She lived a nomadic lifestyle as a child, spending time in several homes in Minnesota, but credits her time in Stillwater to be the most formative to her creative development. This tiny river town is rich with antique stores, victorian homes, and ghost stories. The deep winter cold would chill residents to their bones and those less inclined to the elements would often find themselves nestled away from the frost. Loni, warmed by the fireplace and her imagination, would pass the time by teaching herself to draw the worlds she saw in her mind. Her favorite tales to conjure were of hidden passages, haunted castles, and cursed princesses. Little did she realize, this would be the kindling to fuel years of creation.
Loni has since followed her passion, selling originals and commissioned pieces for over ten years. She spent some time as a tattoo apprentice, honing her work ethic and dedication to her craft. Grateful for the knowledge gained, she was given a once in a lifetime opportunity to step back and sink her teeth into her lifelong passion- painting.
She has since returned to Arizona and is loved by her fiancé Kevin who shares her curiosity for all things strange and beautiful. She is perpetually inspired by her step daughter, Olive, who has a natural inclination to the creative world herself. They don't share their home with ghosts, but instead a black cat named Wednesday Addams, and an ancient, blind pug named Zoey, who is likely only held together by witchcraft.
Loni continues to create for those who share her love of beautiful women doing powerful things.

Loni Ballard is an Arizona based oil painter inspired by women, death, and the haunting beauty of nature.
